No update last week as I took part in Ludum Dare 53.

This week’s update is pretty small though it finally adds a basic scoring system. A simple leaderboard is planned for next week to go with that, among other things.

Changes since Prototype 7

Feature : Score System

• Added a scoring system
• Hitting bricks, destroying bricks, taking XP or Health drops all give Score.

Feature : Perfect Clear

• Clearing a whole wave without missing a single brick will result in a Perfect Clear.
• Perfect Clears give 100 * Wave Number score.

Balance

• Increased the Player’s base Speed from 7.5 to 8.
• XP drops’ down speed now factors in the bricks’ down speed, resulting in slightly higher speed.

Graphics

• Added a different texture for 2x health bricks.
