Alpha 3


Quite small update this week as the pc issues I mentioned in last week’s post ended up worse with the motherboard frying. For now, I’m stuck with an old laptop which is far from ideal for development but at least allows me to keep working until I get a new pc.

Regardless, this week’s update mainly brings the base of a new Shield mechanic which will be expanded in the next update and some small UI & Menus improvements.

Changelog

New Mechanic & Upgrade : Shield

  • Shield blocks damages
  • Shield refreshes on Wave Start.
  • Shield Upgrade only has 1 tier and is available starting from Wave 6. The upgrade is very barebone right now as the shield won’t stay as a regular upgrade and will be part of another system coming in the next update.

UI & Menus

  • Added a small blinking animation upon losing or gaining health. It’s very basic and will be improved at some point in the future.
  • Made the Text in Credits smaller.
  • Made Tabs’ Headline bigger in the menus (settings, credits & leaderboards).
  • Moved the Leaderboard on End Screen further to the right. It doesn’t overlap with the game area anymore on 16:9 displays.
  • Few other minor adjustmnets in the menus.

Other

  • Fixed a bug where the Upgrade UI would be open after restarting if you were to stop a run while it was open.
